depend on which airline Loa airline will be more cheaper than the China airline.
anyway i already got the China Visa and the air ticket so
we will fly to kunming China.

Overland in Laos

Higway 13 connects luang prabang to vang vieng to vientiane and via higway 1 to the north. higway 13 is sealed and in good shape all the way to vientiene . though there have been incident of voilence along this stretch of road in the past, presently it is safe.

there are 3 bus station, each a litle bit out of town, which serve diffrent direction. ticket can be bought at every travel agent in town, at the bus station, or even can buy when boarding the bus(if there is space) booking bus ticket through travel agents usually incurs hefty surcharges compare to doing it your self. just plan to arrive at the bus station between 30-40 minutes before your depature, and you should have plenty of time to make your purchases before the bus leave. tuk tuk driver know which bus station to go for which destination. ask around for bus schedules.

Vang Vieng~ The air conditioned so called VIP bus cost 90,000 kip. mini bus leave from Vang Veing at 9am and cost 100,000kip the trip take 6-7hour (on a very windy road). The mini bus station is just north of town.
Veintaine~ Air con VIP bus cost 115,000 kip more if book through an agent. It should benoted that ticket purchase Veintaine to Luang Prabang are more expensive then those purchase in Luang Prabang. Traveler have reported that the VIP bus can be a bit of bumpy ride, but it is generally more reliable than the public bus. Those prone to motion sickness should know that this trip travels a winding, mountainous road.
Muang Xay~ Takes about 5 hour, couse 40,000 kip and points onwards, such as Luang Namtha, is done by public minibus only. Big backpacks are carried on the roof. Reservations are usually not necessary , just take care to go early in order to secure a good seat.
Luang Namtha~ Take 8-9 hour, part of the road leading from Oudomxay(intermediate stop between Luang Prabang and Luang Namtha) . Direct local bus via Muang Xay at 9am . Otherwise take bus to Muang Xay and switch there.
Nong Khiaw~3hour away by public bus from the northen bus station. form there boat connect to scenic Muang Ngoi Neua.
Huay Xai~ Up to 15 hour away. Public bus leave at 9am (arrive at12 midnight) or (arrive 0800 normal sleeping bus not sleeper), COST 135,000 kip. VIP Buses leave on alternating days, ticket can be purchases at the northen bus station will cost 35,000 kip less than those purchased at an agent in town
